If you have a child aged 3 to 12 years, then please take advantage of these opportunities for our youngest parishioners by participating in our CCD program.
Children ages 3 through 12 gather each week in separate preschool and elementary CCD classes after the 10:30 a.m. Mass in the St. Thomas More Center. CCD classes give our parish’s children an opportunity to gather together within the larger community to celebrate God.
The CCD school year runs from September 9, 2007 through May 11, 2008 with a short recess over the Christmas holiday. It is expected that each child attend class full time. Any family that would like to home school their children should contact Kelly Hanlon at the rectory between 9am and 5pm.
Each of the classes is taught by volunteers. In an effort to reduce the burden on our full time volunteers, parents are encouraged to participate in the classroom part time - one Sunday a month. All volunteers are required by the Archdiocese of Washington to complete necessary paperwork. Please contact Kelly Hanlon for more details.
A small fee is assessed per child (with a sliding scale for families with more than one child registered) to cover costs associated with the running of the program. The fee is $35 for the first child, $25 for the second child, and $20 for additional children. Please contact Monsignor Antonicelli if the registration fee is burdensome for your family.
*Note: It is important to register your child(ren) for CCD by the first week of August since materials that are provided for the children must be ordered and shipped. Please use the registration form to (re)enroll your child(ren). This year’s program coordinators are Janice Adams and Kelly Hanlon. You may contact us at ccd@st-josephs.org. Thank you!

Sacramental Preparation.
Parish children will be prepared for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist at St. Joseph’s. If your child will be entering the second grade and has not received either or both of the Sacraments, please let us know on the registration form.
The dates of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion vary from year to year. However, we plan to hold the First Reconciliation on the first Sunday of November each year and the celebration of the First Holy Communion on the first Sunday of May each year.
Coordinators Janice Adams & Kelly Hanlon can be contacted at ccd@st-josephs.org .

St. Peter's Interparish School
St. Peter's Interparish School is a coeducational elementary school (grades Pre-K through 8th) with a total enrollment of approximately 250 students. The school serves children of the four Catholic parishes in the area: St. Peter's, St. Joseph's, St. Dominic's and St. Vincent DePaul's. Though the majority of the school population is drawn from these churches, the school accepts children from neighboring parishes as well as non-Catholics desiring a caring environment for their children.
