Catholic Information Center
The Catholic Information Center is a pastoral agency of the Archdiocese of Washington. Through its prominent location in the center of the Nation's Capital, it provides a convenient forum to help and supplement the work of local parishes. The center strives to promote the "new evangelization" in America called for by Pope John Paul II by its principal mission: to make the Catholic Church present and alive in the hearts of the men and women who work in the international financial and business center of the Nation's Capital.

Catholic Univeristy of America
The Catholic University of America, a thriving center of scholarship and academic life, is unique as the national university of the Catholic Church and the only higher education institution founded by the U.S. bishops. Established in 1887 as a graduate and research center, the university began offering undergraduate education in 1904. Programs emphasize the liberal arts, professional education and personal development.

Dominican House of Studies
The Dominican House of Studies is a school of theology. Founded in 1905, it has served the theological education of Dominican Friars of St. Joseph Province. In 1941, the Vatican designated it the Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception, and authorized it to grant degrees in sacred theology in the name of the Holy See. Since 1970, as part of the Washington Theological Consortium, it has educated both religious and laity. It is fully accredited by the Association of Theological Schools and by the Committee on Higher education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools.

Georgetown University
Founded in 1789, the same year the U.S. Constitution took effect, Georgetown University is the nation's oldest Catholic and Jesuit university. Today, Georgetown is a major international research university that embodies its founding principles in the diversity of our students, faculty, and staff, our commitment to justice and the common good, our intellectual openness, and our international character.

St. Peter's Interparish School
Site for our local inter-parish school; a coeducational elementary school (grades Pre-K through 8th) with a total enrollment of approximately 250 students. The school serves children of the four Catholic parishes in the area: St. Peter's, St. Joseph's, St. Dominic's and St. Vincent DePaul's. Though the majority of the school population is drawn from these churches, the school accepts children from neighboring parishes as well as non-Catholics desiring a caring environment for their children.

United States Conference of Catholic Bishops
The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) is an assembly of the hierarchy of the United States and the U.S. Virgin Islands who jointly exercise certain pastoral functions on behalf of the Christian faithful of the United States. The purpose of the Conference is to promote the greater good which the Church offers humankind, especially through forms and programs of the apostolate fittingly adapted to the circumstances of time and place. This purpose is drawn from the universal law of the Church and applies to the episcopal conferences which are established all over the world for the same purpose.

Washington Theological College
Site for a local Roman Catholic graduate school for preparing men for ordination and lay men and women for ministry. The school is located in Northwest Washington and offers graduate degrees and continuing education in theology with a special emphasis on pastoral and associated ministries. The school is operated under the auspices of several religious communities of men.

Site for an organization making a real difference in our community by tackling challenges such as poverty, violence, family disintegration, child neglect, disengaged youth, and inadequate affordable housing. To meet these critical needs, DC Cares develops meaningful team and individual projects for volunteers to give real help to local service providers 365 days a year.

Habitat for Humanity
Site for a well-known organization that brings families and communities in need together with volunteers and resources to build decent, affordable housing. There are many ways you can join Habitat for Humanity in eliminating poverty housing, from working with a local affiliate or campus chapter to Global Village short-term mission trips.

Single Volunteers of D.C.
Site for a "volunteer group...with a twist." Single Volunteers was founded by two single women who got tired of trying to figure out where to meet available, smart, sweet, funny, real people with whom to develop new friendships and relationships. The group fosters an atmosphere where that is possible, while giving something back to the community. Thus the birth of Single Volunteers, an organization with over 3600 members and growing more each and every day.
